We’ll start with heading to one of our Archipe-
lagos closest islands. A visit at
Pier 16.
Here,
good tastes at the water’s edge, is promised. The
flavors has influences from both Swedish cuisine
with Archipelago inspired dishes and from the in-
ternational classics. All the food here are cooked
only from the best ingredients on the market. The
foundation is the menu composed by Mattias Lars-
son, also known as The Friday chef on tv here in
Sweden. Honest cooking with good ingredients
and tastes much is promised. You can enjoy both
á la carte and weekend lunch. Among the dishes
are classics like Skagen, pickled herring, burgers,
Caesar salad and grilled tuna. But it can also be
ordered pintxos and snacks from the bar. For child-
ren there are hot dogs and kids burgers and more.
The idea of the Pier is that it should serve as a
lovely natural meeting place and experience for
friends, families and acquaintances. This is so-
mething that permeates the whole concept to the
smallest detail.
The shore edge is close.
But if you don’t have the time for a trip to the real
archipelago just book a table on the waterfront.
Stockholm city has a lot of sea view to offer.
With a location right on the water front next to
Djurgårdsbron is this restaurant, with the name
On the
WATERFRONT
DINNING IN THE ARCHIPELAGO, IN THE CITY OR AT SEA
W
hatever you do, don’t miss the Stockholm archipelago during
your stay. The easiest way to experience the archipelago is to
go by one of Stockholm’s local transportation boats. Just ask at
the front desk of your hotel. Most hotels will assist you in boo-
king tickets for the boat trips.
